The Resurrection Project and La Casa to be beneficiaries of 9th Annual Global Latino Fest: Proceeds will launch the La Casa Scholarship Fund

Dear Friends and Supporters,
We are excited to announce that The Resurrection Project (TRP) has been named the beneficiary of the 9th Annual Global Latino Fest, which will be held on Friday, October 11, 2013 as part of Hispanic Heritage Month. All proceeds from this event will launch the La Casa Scholarship Fund, which we are establishing to provide deserving students in need with the opportunity to live, learn and thrive at La Casa.
La Casa Student Housing, which opened its doors in 2012, was created to incrementally increase the number of Latino students earning their bachelor’s degrees by providing a quiet, conducive, and supportive study environment. This modern living and learning center includes the benefits of living on-campus, such as wraparound academic services, a community of peers, and an onsite fitness center.
The La Casa Scholarship Fund will help us reach students most in need.
“We are grateful to Global Latino Fest for making TRP and La Casa the beneficiaries of their 2013 event,” says Raul Raymundo, CEO of The Resurrection Project. “The La Casa Scholarship Fund is going to help many more promising students fulfill their potential and become tomorrow’s leaders.”
Multi Latino Marketing Agency and Pulido Sanchez Communications have joined forces to produce this year’s Global Latino Fest. Milena Tous, President of Multi Latino Marketing Agency, is a TRP board member, and Pat Pulido Sanchez, President of Pulido Sanchez Communications, is a long-time friend and supporter of TRP and numerous other institutions impacting Latino families.
“Global Latino Fest is part of a larger celebration of Hispanic Heritage Month,” says Milena Tous. “It’s fitting that the proceeds of this event benefit a scholarship that will help many more Latinos leave their mark on history.”
Global Latino Fest will be held at the historic Germania Place (108 W Germania Place Chicago, IL 60610) on Friday, October 11, 2013. We hope that you can attend the event.
