It’s been a busy month for TRP CEO Raul Raymundo, who was nominated for one award and also recognized as a Hispanic Hero.
Raymundo was nominated for Chicago Latino Network’s Latino Professional Award. Every year, the Chicago Latino Network holds a gala celebration to recognize the achievements of Chicagoland Latinos who have contributed to both the U.S. economy and the Latino community at large.

Raymundo, who was one of TRP’s founders in 1990, has since helped build the organization into one of the most successful community development organizations in Chicago. Under his watch, TRP took $30,000 in seed capital and leveraged it into more than $250 million in new community investments in Pilsen, Back of the Yards, Little Village, and Melrose Park.
The Chicago Latino Network’s Gala Awards event will be held at the Drake Hotel on Friday, September 28, 2012.

Meanwhile, Raymundo was among 11 Hispanic Heroes recognized by the Chicago Fire Soccer Club and La Buena Salud Es Vivir during halftime of the Chicago Fire’s match against the Houston Dynamo on September 2, 2012. As part of its 12th Annual Hispanic Heritage Night, the Chicago Fire recognized those Heroes who’d made extraordinary contributions to Chicago’s Hispanic community.

This year’s honorees were nominated by their peers for their influence in growing Chicago’s Hispanic community in the realms of education, community wellness, media, and local government.
TRP is excited that our CEO is being recognized for his leadership, and grateful to both the Chicago Latino Network and the Chicago Fire for their consideration.
