The Resurrection Project joins the Illinois Coalition for Immigrant and Refugee Rights, partners, and families to demand immigration reform
Dear friends and supporters,
Volunteers from The Resurrection Project (TRP), along with TRP families and friends, joined more than 500 people, including many children, in a march organized by the Illinois Coalition for Immigrant and Refugee Rights (ICIRR) to demand immediate immigration reform.
The march began at 3 p.m. yesterday from Face Mountain at Michigan and Madison, and ended with a demonstration at Senator Mark Kirk and Senator Dick Durbin’s offices.
At the demonstration, children who are U.S. citizens but whose parents are undocumented spoke about what it is like living in fear that their families will be separated by deportation. These children demand a life without fear, and the stability that only immediate, comprehensive immigration reform could bring to their families’ lives.
The demonstration was covered extensively by the local media. Click on any of the links below to see some of the major network’s coverage of the demonstration.

TRP was proud to take part in this demonstration, and joins in the call for immediate immigration reform. With 20,000 people to be deported this week alone and countless families torn apart, we can’t afford to wait another day.
