On September 7, 2018, The Resurrection Project’s Associates Board will host their first annual 3k Walkathon, Noche de Alebrijes! Alebrijes are brightly colored Mexican folk art sculptures of fantastical creatures.

The family friendly event will take place at La Casa (1815 S. Paulina St.) and bring together over 300 community members and will feature glow-in-the-dark face painting, vendors, and live music!

Check-in will begin at 5:00pm and the walk will begin at 7:00pm.

Proceeds from this event will benefit La Casa, our college access and persistence initiative.

La Casa is a unique community-based college dormitory and community Resource Center. Student support services combined with affordable housing promote college completion; and community workshops and one-on-one assistance promote college access for Chicago’s low-income students.
