CHICAGO, ILLINOIS, May 31, 2018 — On April 28^th, TRP’s new Associates Board hosted their first fundraising event in support of La Casa Student Housing and Resource Center, TRP’s college persistence initiative. Current La Casa student residents, program participants, alumni and staff joined Associates Board members in sharing their testimonials on the importance of La Casa and the support it offers.  “La Casa’s Career Internship Program provided me real-world work experiences that will help with my long-term career goals. I am the first in my family to graduate from college, and feel I can be the role model I have been striving to be,” – said Karolina Munoz, La Casa alumna and UIC graduate.

The funds raised will impact La Casa student residents through housing scholarships, career internships and other programming opportunities. La Casa continues to empower students to be successful by surrounding them with the benefits and resources of on-campus living.
