Casa Durango is a 53-unit multi-family affordable rental housing development across two properties:

1858 S. Racine Avenue

1850 South Racince Ave

• 37 apartments (13 one-bedroom, 16 two-bedroom, and 8 three-bedroom apartments).

• Community room includes library/lounge, on-site parking, on-site laundry facilities, bike storage room, elevators, and facility-wide video surveillance system as well as apartments that are accessible to people with mobility and sensory impairments.

ENERGY STAR certified building

2010 S. Ashland Avenue

2002-2008 South Ashland Ave

• 16 apartments (8 one-bedroom, 6 two-bedroom, and 2 three-bedroom apartments).

• Community room includes library/lounge, on-site parking, on-site laundry facilities, bike storage room, elevator, and facility-wide video surveillance system as well as apartments that are accessible to people with mobility and sensory impairments.

LEED Gold certified building

General Information:
• Apartments for households earning less than 30% up to 60% Area Median Income (AMI- Based on 2022 HUD income limits) – between $16,860 and $62,520 annual income for a family of four.

• 14 apartments within 1858 S. Racine Avenue building are targeted for households earning less than 30% AMI through vouchers from the Chicago Housing Authority (CHA) and Illinois Housing Development Authority (IHDA).

Anticipated construction completion date – Fall 2022
