The Resurrection Project applauds Senator Dick Durbin for his opposition to legislation, H.R. 1044/S.386, the Fairness for High Skilled Immigrants Act.

We agree that the backlog of visa applicants should be addressed by expanding the number of green cards available for immigrants of all nationalities.  The proposed legislation would not fix the green card backlog, instead it only shifts visas based on nationality. We support Senator Dick Durbin’s proposal to protect diversity by expanding the number of green cards available for all.

Senator Dick Durbin has been a champion to immigrant communities and continues to fight for a permanent and just legislative solution for all immigrants.
