We stand in solidarity with the Chicago Police Department in these tragic times and we pray for the speedy recovery of the two wounded officers shot in Back of the Yards last night.

Similarly, we stand in solidarity with all members of the community that have been victims of gun violence. Whether it’s a 15 year old boy shot last night in Pilsen or a veteran police officer, the violence we have witnessed is utterly unacceptable.

We send our prayers and thoughts to the families of our wounded officers and to all families that have suffered at the hands of senseless gun violence in our community.
