The Resurrection Project in collaboration with Arturo Velazquez West Side Technical Institute, the Digital Workforce Education Society, and other Pilsen community-based organizations are spearheading the efforts to turn Pilsen into a Digital Excellence Demonstration Community.  The planning group has outlined objectives that include outreach to the community, parishes and schools.

There are certain activities are already taking place. For example, organizations like Instituto Del Progreso Latino have started and will continue to distribute refurbished computers to their students (within their computer education programs). Currently, we are looking to set up trainings for local parishioners in order to receive refurbished computers and we also have been given an opportunity to obtain software upgrades for community-based organizations within the Pilsen Planning Committee.
