Latino voters have a lot at stake in this election because many individuals are part of mixed status families that include\u00a0U.S. citizens, legal permanent residents, and undocumented family members living under the same roof or in extended families.<\/p>\n<p>The importance of voting and keeping mixed status families is crucial for the Latino community.\u00a0The Resurrection Project (TRP) is working to encourage more Latinos to vote and use their collective voice.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-10964 alignleft\" src=\"https:\/\/resurrectionproject.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/10\/Hoy_photo-800x429.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"336\" height=\"180\" srcset=\"https:\/\/resurrectionproject.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/10\/Hoy_photo-800x429.png 800w, https:\/\/resurrectionproject.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/10\/Hoy_photo-768x412.png 768w, https:\/\/resurrectionproject.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/10\/Hoy_photo-1024x549.png 1024w, https:\/\/resurrectionproject.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/10\/Hoy_photo.png 1730w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 336px) 100vw, 336px\" \/>In an effort to get out the vote and increase participation, TRP is holding a <a href=\"https:\/\/english.vivelohoy.com\/millennials-worried-pick-lesser-two-evils\/\">series of events throughout the election season.<\/a>\u00a0Recently, \u00a0they launched <em>\u00a1M\u00ed Futuro T\u00fa Voto! My Future Your Vote! <\/em>This initiative is a nonpartisan effort.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis relational voting campaign is designed to engage populations who feel they have the most to lose as a result of elections,\u201d said Erendira Rendon, TRP\u2019s Director of National Projects.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe campaign and online platform provide Americans a concrete action and tool they can use to get their friends and family to vote.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>According to the online site Voto Latino, there are \u201c27.3 million eligible Latino voters who\u00a0are in a position to impact local, state and national elections.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/myfutureyourvote.com\/web\/\">TRP\u2019<em>s \u00a1M\u00ed Futuro T\u00fa Voto! My Future Your Vote! <\/em><\/a>The core idea is simple\u2013 give anyone who has anxiety about this year\u2019s election a simple way to make an impact by getting their friends and family to vote while being part of a larger movement.<\/p>\n<p>The campaign is building a ground game by partnering with strong organizations throughout the country that will recruit their staff and leaders to be \u201cmessengers\u201d who sign up out to turn out the vote for 10 of their friends and family.<\/p>\n<p>Messengers recruited will set up an account with the online <em>\u00a1M\u00ed Futuro T\u00fa Voto!
