Texas, <\/em>with a 4-4 vote by the Supreme Court.\u00a0 Today\u2019s ruling is highly disappointing since this decision maintains the initial Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals judgement \u00a0that had blocked the executive action, which could have positively impacted about 5 million immigrants.<br \/>\nToday\u2019s failure to attain a consensus by the Supreme Court highlights the serious problems we face as a nation, sending the wrong message to children and families across the country.\u00a0 The damaging consequences that arise as a result of a shorthanded Supreme Court lead to the inability to agree on vital immigration initiatives and remind us that our immigration system is broken.<br \/>\nOur nation continues to ignore the fate of approximately 11 million immigrants who remain in the shadows.\u00a0 The court\u2019s inefficiency to reach a definitive ruling prevents even those with deep roots in the country from becoming integrated into the social and economic fabrics of their communities. \u00a0The Resurrection Project strongly believes that immigrant integration is key to community development, and the positive economic impact that DACA has produced is a testament of that.\u00a0 Current data suggests that it has significantly improved the lives of its recipients as they get higher-paying jobs and invest in higher education.\u00a0 All of this translates into more tax revenue and economic growth benefiting all Americans.<br \/>\nOver the last 26 years, TRP has worked through organizing, advocacy and direct service with many partners to encourage policy reform and resources such as DACA and\u00a0citizenship\u00a0workshops.\u00a0 We will continue to provide assistance given that the 2012 DACA is still in effect. \u00a0\u00a0However, we must not lose sight of the greater goal: while we value the benefits that deferred action yields, they are only partial.\u00a0 The need for comprehensive immigration reform with a pathway to citizenship for all the undocumented remains a priority.\u00a0 Now more than ever, TRP and our partners across the nation will continue to stay alert, mobilize and hold policymakers accountable in the upcoming elections.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">###<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>Comunicado de Ra\u00fal Raymundo Acerca del Fallo de la Corte Suprema<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p>El destino de los programas inmigratorios DAPA y DACA+ result\u00f3 en un empate\u00a0 en el caso <em>Estados Unidos v.
