Hello friends, supporters, and community!  <\/span><\/span><\/p>\nI am excited to relaunch the TRP newsletter, where we can share information on our programs, services, and the community. Together, we celebrated 32 years of building healthier communities and the amazing women who led us over the years and continue to lead this great organization. Felicidades to our Mujeres Adelante, who were celebrated at our gala.<\/span><\/span>\n

As we focus on moving forward together, Adelante Juntos, we are assisting families in accessing affordable housing, educating the next generation about financial wellness, handing over the keys to new homeowners, assisting new migrants, creating resources for seniors, families, or helping a friend through an unexpected cancer diagnosis. TRP is strengthening the ecosystem and serving as a social impact institution that seamlessly blends community development, community organizing, and advocacy to create a vibrant, healthier, and accessible community where families and individuals can thrive.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

ADVOCATING IN SPRINGFIELD<\/span><\/span><\/h3>\n

TRP staff and more than 150 parents and students went to Springfield, Illinois, to advocate making Tax Credit Scholarships permanent. ILLINOIS RECOVER STUDY<\/span><\/span><\/h3>\n

TRP has joined Illinois Unidos to support the Illinois RECOVER study. The RECOVER study is designed to help understand why some people continue to feel sick after having COVID-19, and others do not. This study will help identify recovery and prevention and offers up to $800 for participation. TRP\u2019s Immigrant Justice team and volunteers helped receive more than 3,700 new migrants from Central and South America, primarily from Texas. TRP and the Illinois Latino Agenda (ILA) intend to provide a space for all working on the migrant crisis to provide updates, share consistent information, and collaborate.
