CHICAGO, ILLINOIS, May 8, 2018 — On April 28th, The Resurrection Project’s Associates Board hosted their first fundraising event in support of TRP’s College Persistence Initiative and La Casa Student Housing. Current and past La Casa student residents, La Casa staff and Associates Board members gave their testimonial on the importance of La Casa and the support offered by this program. “La Casa’s Career Internship Program provided me real-world work experiences that will help with my long-term career goals. I am the first in my family to graduate from college, and feel I can be the role model I have been striving to be.” – Karolina Munoz, La Casa Graduate and UIC Graduate.
The funds raised will impact La Casa student residents through housing scholarships, career internships and other programming opportunities. La Casa continues to empower students to be successful by surrounding them with the benefits and resources of on-campus living.
