Strengthening small businesses with a free Entrepreneur Training Program

by Diana Pando
Whether you’re thinking of opening up a restaurant or already have your own business, you need to know how to manage your business successfully to create sustainability. During the summer, TRP kicked off a free six-week Entrepreneurship Training Program for individuals needing assistance bolstering or getting their business off the ground.
Yvette Dudley, the owner of Soultry Shoes, said, ”I’ve been a business owner for five years and since then I’ve had no further training.” By going through the program she was able to gain a new focus to take her business to the next level. “I signed up for the program because it will gave me an opportunity to revisit my business plan and learn additional entrepreneurial skills.”
The goal of the Entrepreneurship Training Program is to provide attendees with new skills to help their businesses succeed. The trainings include how to create a solid business plan, how to use QuickBooks, and how to use social media to market their business.
The free training program is for anyone who has an entrepreneurial spirit and wants to continue to grow their business.
The next workshop series will take place Monday, Nov. 3rd  through Dec. 15th with a break for the Thanksgiving Day holiday.  The series will be available in English and Spanish.
